Malignant Severe, life threatening, capable of spreading. Usually characterised by progressive and uncontrolled growth (especially of a tumour).
Metastases Cancer growths arising as a result of malignant cells spreading to other parts of the body.
Mucus A viscous, slippery substance produced by the mucous membrane and made up mainly of mucin, water, cells, and inorganic salts.
