Iatrogenic State of ill health caused by medical treatment, usually by a specific medicine.
Idiopathic A disease of unknown cause.
Immunisation To make an animal resistant (immune) to a disease by taking a vaccine.
Infectious A disease capable of being transmitted by infection, with or without actual contact.
Intramuscular Given into muscles - where the needle goes into the muscle layer under the skin in order to deliver medicine, usually the hind leg. This route is generally given when quick action is required.
Intubation Placing a tube into the trachea to facilitate breathing whilst under anaesthetic.
