30 September 2005  Take advantage of PetCheck Week
This week is PDSA National PetCheck Week 2005, and it gives pet owners the opportunity to access free pet care advice.

Running from September 26th until October 2nd, the charity is urging pet owners to take advantage of the offer while there is still time.

In association with the PDSA, free health checks for pets are available at private practices throughout the UK.

These check-ups include checking your pet for general fitness, weight and nutrition, dietary advice, checking the condition of teeth, gums, eyes and ears, as well as general health advice.

Of the pets that were checked during PetCheck Week last year, some 46 per cent were found to have at least one health problem, highlighting the need to look after your pet properly, which also includes taking out pet insurance.

The PDSA has recently finished touring the country with its PetCheck vehicle, offering free pet care advice at Pets At Home superstores and county shows for the third year running.
