19 June 2007 Petplan announces new pet insurance product
Petplan has announced details of a new pet insurance product for the US market.Dubbed as unique, the new pet insurance policy offers animal lovers the ability to insure their loved one for their entire lifetime.
A number of coinsurance and deductible options have also been included in the plan.
"The ability to customise policies to meet the financial needs of pet owners and the health needs of their pets, coupled with our covered-for-life guarantee on all policies is a unique benefit of Petplan," said Natasha Ashton, chief marketing officer for Petplan.
Petplan is partnered with the Humane Society of the United States, an animal-welfare group based in Washington DC.
The membership base of the society has been estimated at close to ten million.
