26 August 2005  Celebrity pets to raise money
A host of celebrities have posed with their pets for photos taken by Lord Lichfield for a new charity calendar.

Among the famous faces that can be seen with their furry friends are Martin Clunes, Nicole Appleton and Fearne Cotton.

Footballer Jamie Redknapp is pictured with his bulldogs Winston and Bella and comic Julian Clary is seen with his cross-breed, pink-collared, whippet Valerie.

Model Caprice, used to being in front of the cameras, is snapped with chihuahuas Stinker and Roly Poly.

It is the third time that the 'pets and their celebrity owners' calendar has been produced.

All profits generated by sales of the calendar go towards the British veterinary charity PDSA and its 42 PetAid hospitals.

PDSA spokeswoman Liza Randall said: "This calendar is a great example of the special bond between people and their pets.

"It's clear from the photographs just how much the celebrities value their pets companionship and the joy they bring to their lives."
