11 August 2005  Cats to be kept indoors
Cat owners in an affluent area of Epsom are keeping their pets indoors after a cat was killed by dogs from a neighbouring house.

John and Christina Frost lost their cat Bobby after he suffered injuries in the family's driveway, according to icSurreyOnline.

An upset Mrs Frost said: "We took him to our vet who said his injuries were so severe his only chance was at the Royal Veterinary College Hospital in Potters Bar, but he died just after we got there."

Now local residents are being more protective over their own cats, worried that they might not be safe to go out on to the street in case the same thing happens again.

As well as keeping a closer eye on their pets, they would also be strongly advised to ensure their cats have pet insurance in case any harm comes to them.
